Established in 1976, Arab Experts Engineering Consultants (AREX) is one of the earliest national engineering consultancy firms. With headquarters in Dubai, the practice presently holds an unlimited license in the fields of the architecture and civil engineering.

The founder of AREX is Mr. Yousuf Abdullatif K. AlMuhaideb, the first architect of the UAE nationality, and one of the founders of the UAE society of the engineers. Mr. AlMuhaideb is the chairman and managing director of AREX.

The firm has designed and supervised the construction of many projects including high rise residential and commercial landmark buildings, government institutuions, hospitals, hotels, automated car parks, master planning, infrastructure projects, and others.
