The cuisine at Zyara Café is mainly Lebanese but also includes European, American and Mexican influences. Its affordable lunch buffet can be an unusual yet convenient destination for a business meal or a meeting with friends. Priced at AED 60 per person (food only), it takes place every day from 12pm to 4pm, showing off around 8 salads, 1 soup, 4 main dishes and 2 desserts.



The a la carte menu offers all day items such as omelettes and manakish zaatar, mezze and all kinds of saj as well as a good choice of European and Lebanese sandwiches and salads. The main dishes range from Fatteh Chicken, Makanek or Fried meat with potatoes to Steak with potato gratin and fries and Mixed barbecue with hommos or Grilled fish on toast. Choose an appealing aunty style dessert between French sweet crepes, ice-creams and the delightful selection of pastries and cakes: Honey Cake, the Date cake with caramel, Coconut Cake, Chocolate mousse, Apple pie, Cheese knafeh, Flourless chocolate cake, to name a few.

Nestled on the back side of Union Tower close to Shangri-La, Zyara Café brings a warm psychedelic touch to the cold metallic world of Sheikh Zayed Road. When coming in, the creative home style setting with its ‘not totally plain’ pink and green wallpapers amazes. The lovely draped decor mixing hippie and South American touches features a host of colored patchwork, embroidered or Vichy tablecloths and cushions covering tables and low sofas. Even the tissue boxes have been wrapped with fabric to look elegant.



The ‘naked’ seating consists in comfortable small orange/beige or red/brown sofas as well as simple country style wood and straw green and pale pink chairs. Old wooden bookcases display some small second-hand Arabic and English novels that are waiting to be read.
