In 1972, the business which now operates under the name Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) and realizes the vision of its founder HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh started as a firm of public accountants, audit and financial services to the business community in the Arabian Gulf.
The area was witnessing a phenomenal transformation at the time. The development process which was set in motion about a decade earlier had gained a decisive momentum, fostered by soaring oil revenues. Like legendary boom towns of fact and fiction, the whole region was a beehive of activity. Trade was brisk, construction work wide-spread and social change was sweeping through the land. While the infrastructure was being laid to cater to the needs of a modern society, sophistication was making itself conspicuous.
New demands emerged on the local business scene, new attitudes and new requirements arose. Total reliance on good business sense alone had to bow to in-depth investigations, studies, forecasts and strategic frameworks. In banking, industry and the investment world new leadership approaches were sprouting. Espousal of modern business techniques was the order of the day.
We were clear in our minds about these challenges, and felt both called upon and competent to expand in the realm of management and industrial consultancy services. Abundant talent was available to us for this enterprise. Along with that, our intimate knowledge of local conditions and vast experience amassed by our professional staff since the inception of our firm placed us in the rank of leading consultancy firms in the Arab world with a widened client base of domestic and international clients.
In order to perform the above-mentioned services in an independent and dedicated manner in each case, it was only appropriate for separate corporate entities to be established. This was done when registration of our associated offices was also underway in various countries in conformity with local laws and regulations.
