Phoenix Commodities was established in December 2000, registered in British Virgin Islands (BVI). Across the years we’ve grown to multiple commodities and spread geographically, with twenty seven offices in eighteen countries. Phoenix’s offices pan the regions of South-East Asia, the Middle East, East Africa, Southern Africa, West Africa and CIS.
Our growth in the last decade has been noteworthy… Starting with ten customers, we have grown to over three hundred. Beginning with just four country offices, we have now grown to twenty seven. Beginning with USD 38 million in sales back in 2000, we have grown to over USD 1 Billion in sales by 2014. That’s a compound annual growth rate of 82%!. We’ve achieved this progress because of our dedication in managing risk at every stage of the trade that we are involved in.

Currently, Phoenix has over four hundred and seventy employees and twenty seven offices across the globe. We physically handle about 8 million metric tonnes of commodities with a turnover in excess of USD two billion originating and distributing to over 50 countries. In the food staples business, we are involved in the global flow of rice (including premium rice), sugar, and other agri. In the natural resources business, we are involved in the global flow of steam coal, iron ore. Working across the flows from upstream and midstream to downstream, Phoenix offers an end-to-end model that manages commodities with seamless coordination, providing our clients with a competitive edge.
