Through sharing and gaining new experiences, developing existing skills and strengthening knowledge, ODA (Oriental Dance Academy) CPD will demonstrate that you are most up-to-date with current ideas on teaching, demonstrate your commitment to the dance profession and help your future students reach their full potential. It will be a chance for our trainee teachers to make a distinctive contribution to the world of dance and give you the opportunity to discuss, explore and consolidate many aspects of your teaching career. CPD is about taking your knowledge one step further and being the best you can be in your profession.



The Education & Training of ODA was established as a way of supporting the professional development of its teachers, as well as offering an advice service to all who would like to join the Academy and become teachers themselves up on the successful completing of their teaching program.



Term 3 in teaching studies course will mainly focus on CPD while working on the training of teaching as well. CPD will be consisting of strength, flexibility, Modern Jazz Theatre dance skills and Belly Dance teaching practices with advanced combinations.



Modern Jazz Theatre Syllabus that will be practiced is going to be delivered through a UK Dance Organization ISTD – Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. (www.istd.org) This syllabus will enable teachers to experience movements appropriate for the development of the technique, artistry and musicality required for the variations.
