Nishat General Agency was incorporated in 1972 under the leadership of Mr. Kashmiri, who is also the Group chairman and founder of the company. The main principle behind the establishment of the company was to introduce world-renowned brands in the field of School & Office stationery to the Gulf Market. Later in 1994, it was converted into a Limited Liability Company (LLC) namely, "Nishat General Company L.L.C."



Over the past four decades Nishat has evolved into a major wholesaler and distributor of stationery products having today in it's portfolio over a dozen brands with exclusive distributorship all over the GCC region. The success of the organization can be entirely attributed to the vision, determination and professional skill of Mr. Kashmiri and the management team on one hand, and the premium brands the company represents on the other. The number of principals represented by Nishat continues to grow due to the company's proven track record. This has in turn led the company to diversify into the field of premium stationery, paper and office automation.

Today Nishat General Company is one of the most experienced and well-known wholesale distributors of stationery products, having a network of over 1000 retailers all over the U.A.E. In addition, Dubai's reputation as a growing regional business centre with an excellent infrastructure have led many of its principals to expand the company's geographical area of responsibility and to entrust the company with their business interests on a regional basis, covering the territories of Sultanate of Oman, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait. Nishat currently has its branches in all of the mentioned countries, with each branch having its own individual offices and warehousing.
