Manzil will provide a highly professional care-giving and learning environment for individuals with special needs to nurture their potential & develop the requisite self-help, social, educational & vocational skills that are required to function in society

The dream that became Manzil, took shape in 1999, when a small group of parents and volunteers created the special family support group (SFS). This was the first group of its kind in Dubai for families of children with special needs. SFS soon grew to include over a 100 families, and had a range of activities such as get-togethers, field trips, workshops conducted by professionals, talent shows and concerts to bring out the hidden talents of children, among other activities



The key members of the Group got together to form Manzil, a non-profit centre which was officially inaugurated on February 7, 2005 by HH Sheikha Jameela Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director General, Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services.



Meaning ‘destination’ in Urdu or ‘home’ in Arabic, Manzil caters to diverse multinational children with mental challenges from 4 to 30 years of age.
