Jubba Airways was founded in April 1998 by a group of Somali entrepreneurs. After the 1991 collapse of state-owned Somali Airlines, there was a need to establish a reliable airline to accommodate domestic transportation throughout Somalia as well as international flights to nearby countries.

Jubba Airways World Cargo is one of the leading cargo airlines in the region, carrying freight, mail and courier traffic to 15 destinations in more than 5 countries. Jubba Airways network and our freighter programme make us one of the largest single carrier networks in the region, with a reliable schedule, same day connections between most destinations, and extensive road connections.
