Imeco, since it’s founding in 1982 from a warehouse in Dubai, is playing a vital role in saturating with its various products and services the Gulf markets. Having started with a small set –up of just 3 people and despite a lot of severe technical problems, challenges and fierce market competition the company was free to grow, and grow it did, opening and still opening new branches in the UAE and the Gulf, while the struggle to establish itself went on for many years and is still prevailing.





Having stood for more than 35 years of operations in the UAE and the Gulf serving the construction, hardware, auto care, auto repair, soft furnishings and other industries, we look with a surge of pride in our hearts not only for what we have achieved but also for the phenomenal growth of the UAE. This phenomenal growth on both governmental and company levels is the fruition of forward thinking, liberal policies and wisdom of the rulers of the UAE, and the unerring and staunch support of our board of Directors and of our ex-chairman Late Haji Moosa Habib Al Yousuf, who stood encouragingly like a rock behind Imeco and supported the fledgling company even in the most difficult of times.

Having grown with the country and with the country’s infrastructure being setup and the construction activities multiplying at a rapid paste, all our Industry service businesses flourished, however the real surge and the doubling in our business happened in Kuwait at the end of the Gulf war where we were instrumental in supplying our products and services promptly and completely. In 1995 Imeco started their full-fledged electrical division and following diversity launched afterwards their soft furnishing division-Moosa Habib Carpets and Curtains, today both flourishing and amplifying to more than 500 dealers.
