Hypermedia was founded in 1999 with 3 staff members working on one store, a few hundred trolleys and a few security gates branding. In 2001, hypermedia went national and expanded the operation to include more than 30 hypermarkets in 4 major emirates Dubai, Abudhabi, Sharjah and Al Ain, the first ever in-store media company was officially born .

HyperMedia is one of the largest Out-Of-Home companies in the Middle East, and is a subsidiary of one of the leading media groups, Rotana Media Services (RMS). HyperMedia is a specialist “destination” out-of-home company that targets people when they arrive at their destination rather than when they are on the move.
