About Us



Founder and Director



Gabriele Malzahn was born in Germany, where she received a comprehensive education in musical theory, pedagogy and practice. She became a competent performer on piano and double bass, and graduated from university with distinction as a piano major, before she finally decided that her greatest talent lay in her voice. She studied singing with renowned teachers in Germany, Italy and Austria, and her musical expression has enchanted audiences in various European, African and Asian countries including the United Arab Emirates, where she took residence in 1998.



Since moving to Al-Ain, she has been active as a performer, teacher and conductor, was a founding member of the first Al Ain Music Appreciation Group in 1999, and eventually opened the House of Arts in 2006. She obtained a Teaching Diploma in voice and an LRSM in performance from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, is a certified Kindermusik teacher, and was appointed ABRSM Representative for Al Ain in 2007.









About us



Established in 2006 by Gabriele Malzahn, the House of Arts has grown fast and turned into a favorite place for students and parents. With several hundred students and many choices of activities, the House of Arts is the premier school of arts in the city of Al Ain.







Mission



To offer high quality classes in different formations for all ages and nationalities; to foster growth by bringing music and art to the people living in Al Ain; to provide a meeting point and gathering of all local talent; to encourage and inspire each other; and to offer an opportunity for cultural exchange and understanding.

House of Arts offers lessons ranging from music to art, dance, drama and other creative activities, including individual and group lessons.
