Horizon International School

Horizon International School (formerly Star International School Umm Sheif) is an established multicultural school that follows the Early Years Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum of England. Students will take a combination of IGCSE/ GCSE’s at the end of Key Stage 4 leading into A’ Levels thereafter. Since our doors opened in September 2008, the school community has rapidly grown and we now have approximately 900 students with ages ranging from 3 to 15 from over 45 different countries.

Our purpose built facility is situated on a secure and spacious site in Jumeirah in close proximity to all the 'new' Dubai areas such as Umm Suqeim, Al Manara, Al Safa, Dubai Marina, Al Barsha, The Greens, Emirates Hills, Springs, Lakes, Meadows, The Palm, Arabian Ranches ... etc. The atmosphere at Horizon International School is totally student focused with a strong emphasis on community spirit and family values. We aim to deliver a high quality educational experience within an enjoyable learning environment that is safe and nurturing for the students in our care. In September 2010 we completed our Primary School and we welcomed our first intake of Secondary School children in September 2011. Our first cohort of students, are now embarking on their IGCSE / GCSE’s as we continue to be recognised as a leading choice of school within Dubai.
