By creating health policies, strategies, and standards for developing, regulating, licensing, and monitoring the provision of healthcare services by public and private healthcare facilities, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) offers total oversight of the regulation and governance of the healthcare sector within the emirate of Dubai. In order to promote consistent health economic growth and increase the health sector's contribution to Dubai's macroeconomic indicators, DHA is also tasked with overseeing and managing health insurance, health investment, and health tourism services in the emirate. Additionally, DHA is in charge of creating and carrying out public health policies and initiatives in Occupational Health and Safety and Preventive Medicine in an organized way that guarantees safeguarding and enhancing the population's health in Dubai.
