Art in the Middle began with a love of looking closer at the arts: finding the exhibition tucked away from the crowds, the artist you haven’t heard of yet, the cultural detail that makes you stop and look twice. We’re here to explore what’s happening across the Gulf and share what we find along the way.Today we publish weekly across art and design, culture, community and our own Sketchy Supper club — pairing rigorous reporting with the warmth of a scene that has always run on hospitality. From Art Dubai to AlUla, from museum openings in Abu Dhabi to studios in Riyadh, we follow the work and the people making it.
