American Community School of Abu Dhabi

Welcome to the American Community School Abu Dhabi where we work in partnership with parents to empower students to define and shape their futures. ACS is host to students from nearly 50 different countries and it offers an outstanding international education. Students from our Pre-Kindergarten program through grade 12 enjoy a challenging academic curriculum in a nurturing environment, which focuses on developing the whole child. As our graduate profile indicates, ACS is committed to developing graduates who are Thinkers, Responsible, Well-Rounded, and Leaders.



ACS is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools based in the United States. This allows all of our students to graduate with an American diploma, which is recognized in the US and in many countries around the world. In addition, students may choose to enter the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program during their grade 11 and 12 years in order to earn the internationally recognized IB Diploma.



Our well-rounded approach to education allows students to learn and grow academically, athletically, and artistically throughout their time at ACS. There is an extensive array of extra-curricular activities offered to all students. Our elementary offers an After School Recreational Program (ASRP) as well as a Mini-Vipers athletic program. In the Middle School there is a Fun After School (FAS) program, which offers activities and intermural athletic opportunities in addition to the competitive Under 14s program. ACS is part of the Middle East South Asia Activities Conference (MESAC) which provides opportunities for competitive and non-competitive international exchanges for our students from grade 8-12 in the athletics, arts, and academics. ACS also enjoys a very strong community service program and our students learn about and genuinely understand their role and responsibilities as global citizens of our world.

ACS teachers come from a diverse background and are highly qualified and experienced professionals committed to the learning of each child. The teachers work collaboratively to plan units of study and to discuss student-learning results.
