Since 1978, Albwardy Marine Engineering has been providing a complete package of professional ship repair, ship building and marine engineering services from our fully equipped shipyards in Dubai and Fujairah (UAE). Our core activities include:



Dry Docking & Repairs



Albwardy maintains dry-dock facilities at Jadaf and Fujairah, and also more recently at Dubai Maritime City (DMC) due to increased demand. The services that we offer include grit blasting, hydro-blasting, painting, hull steel repair and renewal, main and auxiliary engine overhauls, pump and valve maintenance, and the repair of shafts, propellers and rudders. We complete more than nine dry-dock projects each month on vessels of all sizes and types.

Voyage Repairs



Our riding squads are available to meet our customers’ repair requirements on board vessels in port or underway anywhere in the world as well as in all UAE ports and anchorages.

Machining Services



Our workshops are equipped with a range of modern machine tools, including large horizontal and vertical boring machines, pipes bending and rolling equipment, CNC machines and equipment for the dynamic balancing of rotating machinery.

Electrical Services



AME has its own in-house electrical department providing various electrical services including the rewinding of electrical motors of up to 1800 KVA capacity. In addition AME has a qualified team headed by a hydraulic engineer dedicated to the maintenance of hydraulic equipment and associated systems.

Hydraulic Services



AME has its own in-house electrical department providing various electrical services including the rewinding of electrical motors of up to 1800 KVA capacity. In addition AME has a qualified team headed by a hydraulic engineer dedicated to the maintenance of hydraulic equipment and associated systems.

Scaffolding



We erect scaffolding when required using certified CITB (UK) scaffolders.

Antipiracy Measures



Albwardy Marine Engineering together with leading ship owners has developed a number of potential deterrents to harden vessels against piracy. We have successfully hardened over 70 vessels from VLCCs to LNG tankers. The solutions we offer include the following:
