Al Handal International Group

The Company was initially established in the city of Baghdad, Iraq in 1975. The proliferation of the Company's power primarily took one form. Over the years, the firm was expanded to include various corporations assigning with diverse activities in general trading, finance and technology.



This commitment extended globally with a focus on six key regions: UAE, Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Turkey.

Doing business in such a wide array of fields has helped the group to gain remarkable experience in export-import transactions and a regional recognition. These successes brought along the expansion and a single company expanded into many that today comprise Al-Thuraya Group, with headquarters in (Baghdad), Iraq.



In 1995 the Al-Thuraya group opened its first regional branch in UAE, in Dubai. This was followed by more regional branches in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Turkey. Over the years, the Group changed the name to Al-Handal International Group (HIG) and its headquarters were moved to Dubai since then.
