Dubai Falcon Hospital

Dubai Falcon Hospital was established by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid al Maktoum in 1983. Our facility was first specialist hospital for falcons in the Middle East and over the last 20 years under the director of Dr. David Remple it has established as an international reputation for excellence in the field of falcon medicine. Since Octover 2001, a falconer and veterinarian from Italy directsd veterinary activities at the hospital.



The hospital provides a veterinary service to: Hunting and breeding falcons of the royal famillies in the GCC.

Emergency veterinary service and free assistance for all the falcons in the UAE.

Provide medical and surgical assistance to the falcons belonging to falconers and falcon breeders participating in the UAE CITIES Falcon Passport Scheme.



Cooperate directly with regional and international falcon and avian hospitals.

Provide a diagnostics surveillance facility to prevent the introduction of falcon disease into the UAE and neighbouring countries.



Provide training opportunities through an internship programme.

Undertake research and development into new diagnostic and treatment techniques for falcon medicine.

Publish scientific papers and establish scientific links with National and International veterinary hospitals, laboratories, universities and raptor organizations.
