Indeed, Pablo Picasso, Norman Rockwell and Pierre Auguste Renoir all created artworks about breaking bread and, in fact, Picasso, Miro and Henri Matisse were all known to paint for their dinners at La Colombe d'Or, in the south of France. Today, fabulous original works of their art hang on the walls and bear testimony to the unique deal the artists struck with the restaurateur.
