Mr.Haji Nasser Abdulla Hussain started off as a General Merchant. In 1982, his son, Mr. Ahmed Nasser Abdulla Hussain started a Pharmaceutical retail outlet called Union Pharmacy. It basically dealt with pharmaceuticals, Cosmetics, Healthcare and Surgical products. In time, it gradually expanded into 19 Retail Pharmacies in Dubai, 2 in Sharjah, 1 in Ajman, 1 in Ras Al Khaimah and 1 Abu Dhabi.

In 1997, almost 65 years later, they have expanded as the most successful business outlets in various different fields such as :-

September 15, 1996 Gulf National Medical Co. L.L.C was setup for the purpose of Distribution, Wholesale, Retail, Import & Export of pharmaceuticals within the United Arab Emirates. The company came into existence in the year 1996 and has built up an outstanding reputation for the professional standards of its distribution and improvement in the market share of its agency lines. Within this short time, the company has grown to become a major distributor in the U.A.E. for pharmaceutical products.

The success and the growth of Gulf National Medical has been possible, thanks to the skills and motivation of the people who work and support it. We operate from a central warehouse in Dubai which is approximately 21000 sq.ft. It is centrally air-conditioned with temperature control to stock the products
