Photodynamic Therapy (PDT): We are proud at the International Medical Center to be the first private health care center in the UAE providing state-of-the-art breakthrough technology



Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) to bring a new hope for patients who are suffering from sever loss of vision due to the formation of sub-foveal choroidal neo-vascular membrane-CNVM ( which are abnormal leaky vascular structures under the area of central vision area of the retina ) secondary to Age Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), pathologic myopia and other inflammatory diseases of the eye. PDT therapy is the latest treatment for CNVM and utilizes an innovative idea to treat CNVM's without damaging overlying or nearby retinal or other ocular tissues.



Low Vision/Vision Rehabilitation service: Our mission is to encourage and inspire the blind and visually impaired to transcend the loss of sight as independent contributing members of society. Our services are offered to people with all levels of vision loss that prevent a person, from independently doing every day tasks. It is our vision to expand the scope of access technology for clients with sever permanent loss of vision who cannot be cured with surgery or medication (e.g. macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and stroke). We want to help people make the best use of their remaining vision. Our optometrist specializes in low vision and provides individualized care. Patients receive a comprehensive exam designed for people with low vision and optical aids are prescribed to meet peoples' visual goals, when appropriate.
