Ideally situated between the city and the Port of Fujairah , the newest women's college in the Higher Colleges of Technology serves 700 students from every community along the East Coast. Choosing from programs that lead to a Diploma, Higher Diploma, or Bachelors degree in business, information technology, and education, the young ladies study in a secure and beautiful environment in classrooms and labs equipped with new computers and the latest educational technology. Under the guidance of outstanding faculty from around the world, students learn and practice planning, working in teams, and leadership. Extracurricular activities round out the educational experience with an active Student Council, a variety of sports, student clubs and interest groups, and professional organizations such as Toastmasters International. Among the many accomplishments in 2004 was winning First Place in the Emirates Environmental Group Intercollegiate Speech Contest.
