We are specialized in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of a wide range of psychological problems affecting adults, children and families. We also provide psychological assessments and treatments for individuals suffering from anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress, depression, chronic pain or body dysmorphic disorder. The Clinic offers a broad range of clinical psychology services to the general community. These services include adult, child, adolescent and family therapy; adult, adolescent and child psychometric assessments; and group therapies. The Clinic also offers opportunities to participate in treatment and related research programs for those who are interested and suitable.



As the Clinic is a primary referral centre, people suffering from severe and chronic conditions, such those with significant suicidal risk, psychosis, severe personality disorder, substance abuse, addiction or gambling difficulties, or those with criminal or violent behaviour are likely to require more specialized or longer-term services than those provided by the Psychology Clinic. For example, those with gambling problems are beat served by the Gambling Treatment Unit at the University of Sydney Furthermore, medico-legal reports or opinions are not able to be provided by the Psychology Clinic.



About Dr. McCarthy



Dr. McCarthy has studied and worked in France and the Middle East as a clinical psychologist, both with grown-ups and youngsters. She is familiarwith Eastern and Western cultures. In addition to this, she is an impressive female psychologist who has succecceded in assisting thousand of people during her career in discovering and using their creative power to overcome their problems and difficulties.
