Dr. Salivaras received his medical degree with distinction from the National University of Athens in Greece.
His post-doctoral training started as a General Physician on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Cyprus for almost two years and continuously for another one year at the picturesque island of Kea in the Aegean Sea.
Following extensive training in General and Aesthetic & Reconstructive Plastic Surgery in Europe and Brazil, he awarded with honors the Specialist Title of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon in 2007 after completing a long, demanding and intense training program as a Plastic Surgery Resident at the prestigious Institute of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery Ivo Pitanguy in affiliation with the Catholic Pontifical University and Carlos Chagas Institute of Post Graduate Medical Studies in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, under the direct supervision of one of the most famous Plastic Surgeons in the world and Patron of the Brazilian Plastic Surgery, Professor Ivo Pitanguy.
The Hospitals “Santa Casa de Misericordia of Rio de Janeiro”, “ Andarai”, “Jesus”, “Servidores do Estado do Rio de Janeiro” and the “National Institute of Cancer” in Rio de Janeiro, have been the main fountain of exposure to the vast field of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery including Cosmetic Surgery as well as burns, Plastic Surgery for Children, Microsurgery and Oncology.
