Dr. Hani Salam

Dr. Hani A. Salam is a Canadian-Lebanese oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Hani graduated from the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada and obtained his PhD from McGill University, in Montreal, Canada. In his PhD he investigated the effects of electrical stimulation and low-energy lasers on bone healing around implants. Dr. Salam has a unique advantage in combining North American maxillofacial surgical clinical training and academic and research oriented PhD from North America and is offering his services in the Middle East.



He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry at McGill University and he is the Director of McGill University Continuing Dental Education in the Middle East & North Africa.



Dr. Salam’s scope of practice includes surgical dental extractions including wisdom teeth, placement of dental implants, orthognathic surgery and reconstructive cosmetic maxillofacial surgery, maxillofacial trauma, pathology and infections as well as conservative and surgical management of temporomandibular joint disorders including minimally invasive arthroscopy of the temporomandibular joint.



Dr. Salam is also involved in academic and research work. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences. He is also a visiting professor and researcher at centers, institutions and universities in North America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
