CONTENDER MMA

Contender MMA is a Dubai-based martial arts and fitness training center. The gym houses top-of-the line training equipment, world-class teachers and provides MMA training, martial arts training, and no-contact fitness training.



Contender MMA aims to be the driving force of MMA in the region. This will be done through providing access to professional fighters and coaches, world-class training, and top-of-the-line equipment to cater to professional fighters, elite athletes, and fitness enthusiasts.



The center was set up and is owned by Tam Khan (also Head Coach), Yasser Al Mestarihi, Moadh Bukhash, and Adnan Fatayerji.





Head Coach Tam Khan is a young veteran of the sport who has taken part in some epic battles in various MMA competition in the UK and the Middle East and continues to do so. Like all high-level MMA fighters, Tam is trained in all aspects of the game; from being a high-level Royce Gracie purple belt, to a well rounded striker trained by the reputable UK-based Team TSG headed by coach and mentor Daniel Burzotta.



Known for pioneering the sport of MMA in the country, Tam arrived in the UAE in 2007 from the United Kingdom to make the sport mainstream in the region. Since then he has produced some of the best professional fighters in the Middle East and worked closely with the biggest MMA events in the region attracting more and more fighters to the fastest growing sport in the world, and making the sport both legitimate and aspired to by all.
