In 1984, Australian Brian Cumins and a group of partners responded to the need of society’s strained economy, offering the possibility of recycling good quality and used items for instant cash. He opened his first Cash Converters store in Perth, Western Australia with the vision to transform the humble second hand store into a chain of professional retail outlets.

Since launching the concept in 1984 Cash Converters now has a representation in 21 countries.

In 2012, Fabrice Le Boulenger and Rico Daher with the Partnership of a strong Emirati Group, decided to open the first Cash Converters Dubai bringing the Cash Converters franchise to the UAE. Answering to the needs and the movements of the large expat community, we have adapted and refined the concept with new options and services. Whilst still maintaining the core business of buying and selling secondhand goods. With a strong expansion plan, the aim is to develop throughout the UAE and Middle East.
