Basra Haider, the founder of Art of Beauty Concepts is an international make-up artist with twenty years of experience. In Canada she trained and worked under the guidance of Frank Toskan, the founder of M.A.C. Cosmetics. Basra is best known as the make-up artist to celebrities and international models coming to Dubai. Basra also is a beauty/cosmetic expert, writing for many well known fashion and beauty magazines.

Basra says: “Being a make-up artist and beauty expert, I never had to pay for products, all major cosmetic and skin care lines would send me loads of products to test and try on my clients and to write about them in my articles, so after a hiatus, when I went to buy some products I was floored by the cost! Add to this the fact that cosmetics are on average 20% more costly in the U.A.E. than other parts of the world. I asked myself, ‘how can make-up artist starting out or working women that need to be well groomed for work or even the average women enjoy experimenting with good quality products to get her best look with the prices being so outrageous?’”,… and the idea for ABC Cosmetics was born.
