ARGANICA was established in 2010 by founder Miriam Kiwan. After years of using commercial beauty products and failing to find something that would not only nourish and protect her skin, but was also kind to her complexion, she decided to research different beauty products in the hope of finding something exceptional.
What she found instead surprised and shocked her. Virtually all of the traditional cosmetics and beauty products that are on our shelves today contain a barrage of chemicals which over time, can cause severe problems for your skin and your health.
Miriam discovered that most beauty products contained cheap fillers, additives, parabens, dyes, perfumes, preservatives and a whole host of chemicals which can cause a range of problems from bad, reactive and sensitive skin to organ failure and even cancer.
Shocked by her discovery, Miriam set out to search for the perfect natural and organic skin care solution for her skin and hair. As a native of Morocco, she had often heard good stories about an organic oil produced locally called Argan Oil. This oil was also known as Moroccan oil or ‘liquid gold’ and was as rare as it was precious.
The Moroccan oil was completely organic and had amazing restorative properties that had been used by the local people in natural skin care for centuries to moisturise, condition, rejuvenate, heal and protect their skin. It was brilliant at helping eczema and dry skin sufferers and a great alternative to traditional steroid creams which are dangerous for your health when used over a prolonged period of time.
Extensive European research confirmed the miraculous regenerating and hydrating properties of organic Argan Oil. Armed with this knowledge, Miriam set to work creating and developing a natural skin care beauty products range which would harness the power of this amazing organic Moroccan oil without compromising on quality or using harmful chemicals. The result included the Multi-purpose organic Argan Oil which is safe enough for babies with eczema.
