About Us

It was established in 1948 based on the directives of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, when he was the ruler of the Eastern Region. The fort has a huge tower of two floors, and it was named so because of its square shape. It was first used as a surveillance tower and headquarters of guards. Over time, it was used as a police station called "Al Murabba Police Station".

Description

The fort consists of a rectangular big tower and it has its entrance in the middle of the western wall of the fence. It is composed of 3 floors and is fenced from all directions and has multiple windows or triangle racks used for shooting.

It is located in the centre of Al Ain city, and is surrounded by the public street from the west and south, residential houses from the north and the police station from the south.
